Happy Holidays from MyWallSt

Happy Holidays from MyWallSt

This year was a tough one — let’s get that out of the way first and foremost. We officially entered a bear market, the specter of recession has been looming from behind the shadows most of the year, and a lot of our portfolios have more red in them than Santa’s famous suit.

However, despite all this negativity, there are still signs of hope. Markets will always fluctuate, it’s just an unfortunate certainty of life on Wall Street. They always respond too, rebounding to new heights time and time again, no matter how long it takes.

It’s easy to get caught up in the daily news mill, constantly reading and waiting for the next story to unfold. As we enter into the holiday season, with the stock market closing early today on Christmas Eve, make sure to give yourself a chance to step back. Relaxation and reflection are two under-utilized tools of any great investor, and the coming few days are a brilliant time to get some practice in if you can.

Over the next week, we’ll be bringing you some roundups of our favorite content this year, including:

  • A collection of our favorite First Looks from 2022
  • Some investing advice from the team
  • A look back at the strange state of social media throughout the year
  • A recap of some investing Cautionary Tales
  • And a whistlestop tour of the rise and fall of crypto.

Until then, we hope you enjoy the weekend. See you all soon.
