1. Somebody go wake up Green Day because September’s finally over, and boy, was that a tough 4 weeks for Wall Street which experienced a negative month for the first time since March. Luckily, it ended well yesterday following better-than-expected economic data and ongoing stimulus talks, with the Dow Jones (DIA) rising 1.2%, the S&P 500 (VOO) climbing 0.8%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq closing up 0.7%. 2. Google (GOOG) went all out to spread its ‘Googleyness’ on Wednesday during its hardware roadshow which unveiled a host of new products. Ahead of the holiday shopping season, the tech giant revealed its new Pixel 5 smartphone with 5G capabilities, the Nest Audio home assistant speaker, and finally, its significant upgrades to Chromecast with a Roku (ROKU) competitor Google TV device. Google TV is a little dongle that plugs into the back of your TV and gives you access to more than 6,500 apps like Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Peloton, YouTube, and more. 3. Woof woof! Shares in DataDog (DDOG) are soaring after the cloud security platform announced a partnership with software titan Microsoft’s (MSFT) Azure unit. Having already more than doubled year-to-date, DataDog shares jumped 12.4% on Wednesday as investors grasp the full potential of being a first-class service on the world’s second-largest cloud platform in Azure, which holds a 15.5% market share in cloud computing. “In addition to the integration enhancements, the new channel through the Azure Marketplace allows customers to draw down on their committed Azure spend to purchase Datadog,” Datadog said.
